Re-evaluation
I may have mentioned in a previous blog that I walked in 11 minutes what would have taken me 14 to 15 minutes in the past. Well, today confirmed my improvement. After six weeks I have improved my distance for a six minute walk by 23%. And the quality of my stride and the length of my stride was about six inches longer than six weeks ago. Yes I am excited and yes there is a long way to go.
Friday I get my (AFO’s) leg braces right after therapy. I say the braces are a temporary measure to get me on my legs more and improve the quality of my movement.
Mary is going to come to therapy on Friday so she can witness the auto ambulator (robotics)…
This morning on the way to therapy at about 7:40 am I was driving through Forest Park and was struck by the beauty of the trees noticing as if they have changed color overnight. Specifically, I was frozen when I saw the beautiful red trees (I think they are Maples) that frame either side of the art museum as it is seen from the road at the foot of the fountains in the grand basin. We are so blessed to have the beauty of Forest Park so close to our home.
